Socrates, Jesus, and Hamlet
diverse heroes of tragedies (so aware of sacrifice)
quasi-suicidal characters
displaced beings or beings-without-place
between thresholds
nowhere atopos
loving life and loving truth
dangerously (so aware of sacrifice)
In common they all questioned the senses and the veils
they all met the closest possible traitors loved intimate traitors
they all knew the City and entered the Palace of the City and felt clearly
how madness was burning within those walls
Were they on the brink of giving life, or choosing death in this world, preferring another world?
Whose world is this? Whose life is this, in this world?
Were they facing the judges from above Justice, and above war-and-peace?
Were they willing to assent to the Disorder in the name, hidden name, of above Justice?
